Vision InfoSoft Corporation Releases EPIC™ Pricing System Update that Includes a Record 500,000 Item Changes from 150 Manufacturers

Carlsbad, CA - June 3, 2004 - In the month of May 2004, Vision InfoSoft made over 500,000 item changes from over 150 manufactures. The majority of these changes reflected price increases that have been affecting the industry since the beginning of 2004. Vision InfoSoft has offered the EPIC™ Pricing System software to electrical contractors since 1995. The EPIC electrical materials database has grown to over 1.4 million items

According to Derrick DelliQuadri, Vision's Director of Marketing, "Due to shortages in steel, copper, and other construction materials, prices have risen uncharacteristically over the past few months. Vision InfoSoft has increased resources to provide weekly updates to customers during these uncertain times. As a result of our vigorous price updating, we added over 500,000 item changes during the month of May. This is the largest update we have ever completed in one month. Two conclusions should occur from such results. One, there are significant changes occurring in the construction industry and our economy. Two, Vision has once again proven that we excel at providing services our customers require."

“Any contractor not using the current material prices has a very good chance of losing money in jobs they are bidding on today. Because of the large changes in material costs occurring every day we recommend all contractors quoting material update their prices weekly to prevent quoting a price today that could be 30% low a month later when the job is awarded,” said Derrick DelliQuadri.
