Training Options
We offer a full range of training solutions.
Vision provides hands-on training on Electrical or Plumbing Bid Manager™ (estimating), Time and Material Billing Manager™ (billing), EPIC™ (pricing) and Electrical Plan Takeoff (OST/PlanSwift). We provide training at the contractor's office or ours, over the phone, online and in the classroom. We also provide consulting services, electrical estimating: complete takeoffs, commercial or light industrial projects of any size.
Consulting Services
Free Estimating Consultation
Take advantage of Brian Hoffelder's 30+ years of training and consulting with thousands of contractors of all sizes and specialties to assess your capabilities, proficiency and needs in Estimating. He will provide a free, no obligation, up to 30 minute consultation over the phone/internet to evaluate your company and recommend services or training to address your needs.
Estimating Training
We can train estimators or project managers in the basic methods of electrical estimating. Including: reading specifications, takeoff, applying material pricing and labor units, and final bid summary. The training can be applied to takeoffs from hard copies/blueprints or to electronic takeoff with Vision's Electrical Bid Manager estimating software and On-Screen Takeoff.
Database Consulting
We provide assistance for users in customizing their estimating or billing databases; including adding items, assemblies or flat rate pricing; and revising labor units, prices and discounts.
Electrical/Plumbing Estimating
Brian and his team of experienced estimators can provide complete electrical or plumbing estimates for all types of projects, including commercial, residential and industrial jobs. In addition to pricing all material and labor, an optional color coded electronic On Screen Takeoff file can be provided showing the estimators takeoff on the original drawings. A "not to exceed" price will be provided for all estimates.

Software Training
In House/On-Site Training
We can send our professional trainer to your office to train a group of any size and skill level, or you can come to our office for one or more full days or more. (full days are 8 hours)
*Additional travel expenses are billed at cost or can be included in a package deal
Internet/On-Line
Instruction is provided over the internet where the customer/user is guided through the program over the phone as the instructor views your screen. (2 hour minimum)
Live Training Webinars
We host a series of monthly training webinars to help our new customers get started and train existing customers to become experts. We use the GotoWebinar (GotoMeeting) platform to offer remote training to our customers.

Extended Training on EBM or PBM
Course 3: 8:30am-4pm
Complete takeoff of a 12,000sqft commercial office building
Course 4: (Private Sessions)
1.5 hour 1-on-1 session using EBM or PBM and On Screen Takeoff or PlanSwift Electronic Takeoff
